PUBLIC WORKS - GENERAL MAINTENANCE WORKER

Job Summary:  This position requires the performance of routine maintenance duties including basic carpentry, basic electrical repair, basic equipment operation, facility repairs under supervision, and basic ground keeping functions. All carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, and painting are performed under supervision by qualified personnel.

HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

Job Summary: This position requires skill in the operation of heavy equipment machines. The employee is responsible for the safe and efficient operation with the ability to work to finish with accuracy. Work is performed in accordance with the instructions received from a Foreman and the employee is expected to carry out the assignments, free of direct supervision, except for more complicated jobs. The employee is expected to perform minor servicing and maintenance on the equipment and to refer more serious problems to the supervisor at the first sign of a problem.
